About the Role

We are seeking responsible, energetic, and highly motivated interns to support the daily operations of Tiare Summer Camp. This internship is ideal for those who are interested in youth development, education, event planning, and program coordination. Please note that all interns must pass a background check and may be required to obtain a Food Worker Card prior to the start of the internship.

Requirements

We have openings in various areas, including:

  • Camp Operations & Administration – Assist with logistics, scheduling, and behind-the-scenes camp coordination.

  • Programming & Activities – Help design and facilitate arts, science, and technology-based activities.

  • Marketing & Communications – Create content for social media, newsletters, and outreach initiatives.

  • Volunteer & Staff Coordination – Support recruitment, scheduling, and training efforts for camp volunteers and staff.

  • Community Engagement & Outreach – Assist with fostering relationships with local organizations, schools, and businesses.


Responsibilities

  • Assist camp leaders in daily operations and activities.

  • Engage and supervise campers in a professional and responsible manner.

  • Help plan and execute structured educational and recreational programs.

  • Support social media, photography, and marketing initiatives.

  • Contribute to logistical planning and event coordination.

  • Work collaboratively with staff to ensure a safe and fun experience for all participants.


Qualifications (Applicants Must Meet ALL of the Following Criteria)

  • Must be at least 21 years old.

  • Must pass a criminal background check (required for all interns).

  • Food Worker Card may be required (must obtain prior to camp if applicable).

  • Ability to commit to scheduled shifts and be punctual.

  • Enthusiastic about working with children and ensuring a safe and structured learning environment.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting with minimal supervision.

  • Interest in education, youth development, event planning, or related fields.

  • Experience in arts, sciences, or technology is a plus, but not required.


Preferred Qualifications (Highly Competitive Candidates Will Have)

  • Experience working with children in a camp, school, or childcare setting.

  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Leadership experience in a school, community, or extracurricular setting.
