​Little Sprouts Summer Camp: Policies & Procedures

1. Introduction

This document outlines the operational policies and procedures governing Little Sprouts Summer Camp. These policies ensure a structured, safe, and engaging experience for all campers.

2. Camp Schedule & Operations

2.1 Camp Location & Hours

  • Location: Denny Park Lutheran Church, 766 John St #5132, Seattle, WA 98109

  • Dates: June 23, 2025 – August 29, 2025

  • Regular Camp Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • Drop-Off Window: 8:45 AM – 9:00 AM

  • Pick-Up Time: 4:00 PM

  • Extended Care: 4:00 PM – 5:30 PM ($30 per hour)

2.2 Drop-Off & Pick-Up

  • Parents/guardians must sign in and sign out campers daily.

  • Authorized Pick-Ups: Only individuals listed on the registration form may pick up a camper. Photo ID is required.

  • Late Pick-Ups: Campers not picked up by 4:00 PM will be placed in Extended Care, and applicable fees will be charged.

  • Late Pick-Up Fee: After 5:30 PM, a $1 per minute per child fee will apply.

3. Camper Expectations & Behavior

3.1 Code of Conduct

All campers must:

  • Treat others with respect and kindness.

  • Follow all safety rules and staff instructions.

  • Participate in activities and maintain a positive attitude.

  • Not engage in bullying, aggression, or inappropriate behavior.

  • Not use electronic devices during camp activities unless approved by staff.

3.2 Discipline Policy

  • First Infraction: Verbal warning.

  • Second Infraction: Parent/guardian notification.

  • Third Infraction: Possible suspension or dismissal (no refunds).

4. Health & Safety

4.1 Medical Policy

  • Emergency Medications: EpiPens and inhalers may be accepted with a completed medical authorization formand physician documentation.

  • Routine Medications: Camp staff do not administer routine medications. Parents must ensure that any necessary medication is taken before or after camp.

  • Sick Policy: Campers must be symptom-free for 24 hours before returning.

  • Injury Response: All staff are CPR & First Aid certified and will notify parents in case of injury.

4.2 Food & Allergy Policy

  • Nut-Free Policy: No peanuts, tree nuts, or nut-based products are allowed.

  • No Food Sharing: To prevent allergic reactions, food sharing among campers is strictly prohibited.

  • Parent Responsibility: Families must pack a nut-free, non-perishable lunch and snacks.

5. Inclement Weather & Emergency Closures

  • In case of inclement weather, natural disasters, or emergency situations, parents will be notified as early as possible regarding schedule changes.

  • Emergency Evacuations: Staff will follow safety protocols and relocate campers to a safe location if needed.
